TIL / Ruthless Prioritization & Wealth
Two things caught my attention today. The first was a short article from Inc featuring Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, where she give just two words of advice: "Ruthless Prioritization".
"I think the most important thing we've learned as we've grown is that we have to prioritize," said Sandberg. "We talk about it as ruthless prioritization. And by that what we mean is only do the very best of the ideas. Lots of times you have very good ideas. But they're not as good as the most important thing you could be doing. And you have to make the hard choices."

The second was something James Altucher mentioned during his podcast interview with Alex Blumberg. I am going to paraphrase a bit here, but it was something along the lines of:
The only way to amass real wealth is through ownership. It is very difficult / impossible to do it by working for someone else.
Starting a business or building a product is the avenue to generating real wealth. I've always known this, but this was the first time it really clicked for me. Minor note in the podcast, but something that really resonated with me.
